The fruit trees in May

After the frosty bummer last week the actual overview lets it seem that there was no total destruction. Thankfully it was not that cold.

  • The cherry fruits look good. They would’ve changed their colour by now if they were harmed seriously.
  • Same for the plum. The little fruits are still green and stable. Found some lying on the ground though.
  • Today I discovered also on two of the apple trees that fruits are formed from the blossom. Phew!
  • There’s also fruits on the older pear tree. The young one does not look good. It’s worse than frost. I guess a bacteria disease. I might have to replace it.

So the worst fears do not seem to have materialised. It is still early but I am in a much more optimistic mood than last week.
